Despite the fact that July’s promise of warmth and sunshine arrived all too late, one thing that was consistent has been the Outside Edge schedule of activities, keeping Service Users and communities connected. Last month, Service Users had the opportunity to attend two Theatre Clubs and a Shakespeare Masterclass, as well as our weekly Drop-in sessions and Peer-led activities.
Also in the past month, Service Users and other stakeholders took part in our co-production Design & Brand Identity workshops, as part of Outside’s Edge’s rebrand and website redevelopment. Never Dull—the design studio leading on this project—guided this process of collaboration, as participants shared ideas and helped define what Outside Edge represents, while also providing valuable input for the design process (read more about this below).
With August promising to bring a similarly packed schedule, there will rarely be a day without some kind of activity for Service Users to engage with, and there’s never been a better time to join Outside Edge’s thriving community. Outside Edge will be acknowledging International Overdose Aware Day later this month, as we remember those who have lost their lives or have been injured as a result of a drug overdose. With our second Service User Social Event of 2024, another Theatre Club and Masterclass, a new schedule of monthly Peer-led activities, there is a whole host of groups, activities and events for Service Users and we’re really excited for the month ahead.
