The company, which makes theatre with and for people affected by substance addiction, made the appointment a year after the death of former creative director Phil Fox in June, 2014.
Miller’s previous roles include being director and co-founder of community-centric theatre company Humourisk, and artistic director of the Capital Age Festival.
Reacting to her appointment, Miller said: “I am so pleased to be working with this extraordinary theatre company. I have been interested in the work of Outside Edge for many years, as they have led the way in creating innovative, thought-provoking theatre uncovering stories and supporting people affected by addiction.”
Her directorial debut for Outside Edge will be the company’s upcoming production Rockston Stories, which will take place at the newly opened Hoxton Hall in London.
