Blended Service Delivery
We are thrilled to announce that in line with current government guidelines, we plan to take our first steps towards safely returning to in-person delivery.
We will be offering a blended delivery for any groups that are returning to in-person facilitation. This means that you will be able to access the group either in person or online via Zoom. The choice is yours!
For now, we will only be offering a blended delivery for the groups listed below:
From 14th October – Write Now and West London Drop-in Drama (Wednesdays)
From 15th October – Women’s Drama Group (Thursdays)
From 19th October – Edge Two (Mondays)
All groups will be held at a *NEW* workshop location a 5 min walk from Barons Court Tube Station. In order to control numbers, participants will be sent the address at the point of booking.
‘Book-In’ don’t ‘Drop-In’- Reserve your space!
In line with social distancing guidelines we will need to limit the number of people who can be in the workshop space. You will need to book your space in advance of attending. As with all of our activities it is free to attend, but if you have not booked, you will not be able to enter the workshop space.
Existing OETC members will be sent a link to book a space for any of this month’s blended sessions on 7th October via email or text. If you are new to OETC, register your interest here and Molly will be in touch.
How we are keeping you safe
So we can operate in a socially distanced way, we have limited the number of people who can attend in-person. If you want to attend on Zoom, the more the merrier and there is no need to book simply login and join!
Socially distanced working
At no point during the session should you come into close contact with another member of the workshop. We will provide a socially distanced grid (marked by cones on the floor) to ensure that you can work creatively whilst keeping a safe distance from others.
Unfortunately we won’t be providing refreshments at the workshops, so please bring your own bottle of water with you to the workshops to keep hydrated. Participants will be sent on breaks at staggered times.
Masks and face coverings
You will need to wear a face covering until you arrive at your socially distanced square in the workshop space, at that point participants can choose to remove their face covering or not. All activities can accommodate participants with or without face coverings. OETC staff members will be wearing face shields for the duration of the workshop.
Props, chairs and pens
We will be removing all props from the space. For Write Now please bring your own pen and paper to the group. Chairs will be allocated per person and you must not change chairs during the course of the workshop.
What to expect on arrival?
When you reserve your space you will need to select an arrival time (e.g 18:20), please arrive promptly at the time you have selected so that we can keep people in small groups of no more than 6. These staggered arrival times will help keep you safe.
On arrival you will be met by an Outside Edge staff member and asked to wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before entering the space.
The space will be split into socially distanced squares that you will work from.
Help us keep you safe!
If you are feeling unwell with any of the following symptoms please do not attend in person and self isolate as per the government guidelines. You are still welcome to join us on Zoom.
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
