The Outside Edge Theatre Company works from the perspective of creating theatre and drama with people affected by substance misuse.
Through our Theatre Skills Progression Programme we use theatre and performing arts to give people affected by drug and alcohol addiction a voice—enabling them to reach and recognise their potential, find an identity and build skills and confidence in order to support recovery.
Additionally, the company provides interactive drug and alcohol treatment touring productions, training for professionals, stand alone programmes, and professional theatre productions of new work for the general public.
News: Outside Edge is starting a new theatre group designed for women in recovery from substance misuse. The group is free and aims to provide a safe space for women. “Under the guidance of Phil Fox, Outside Edge produce artistically excellent work that challenges and entertains audiences at the same time as making a real difference. Edge’s work with addicts - and the ways in which their performances awaken audiences and provoke debate – is quite simply stunning.”
