Until further notice, all OETC drama workshops will take place online. Even though most participants will join in for a video chat, as long as you have access to a phone (yes, even a landline!) you will be able to participate in the activities. We look forward to welcoming you to our activities!
If you have not been to an OETC workshop before please register your interest here.
If you are an existing OETC participant and have not received an email about how to access these activities, please get in touch at email@example.com or call 0207 371 8020 for more information.
We have also compiled a list of free creative and recovery maintenance resources available during Covid-19 social distancing. We will continue to update the list as more activities come online.
Virtual Workshop FAQs
How do I join via video?
To join via video (we highly recommend!) you will need to download a free video conferencing app directly to your smart phone or computer. We will send you some simple instructions on how to do this and, if you require a bit of technical support, we are available to assist you over the phone. Please do this ahead of the workshop date so we can help you with any problems before the session and you can be ready to get creative and focus on the activity.
This app works via an internet connection. If you do not have a broadband connection and are using cellular data on your phone, then please be aware that it will use your plan’s data to run. The cost of this is as per your contract with your Mobile Network provider (e.g EE, O2).
On the day of the workshop
1) Open the app and select ‘Join a Meeting’
2) Enter meeting ID (this will be sent out in a text to new participants) and to input your name.
You can then use this app every week!
I don’t have a smart phone or a laptop, can I still participate?
If your phone does not have a camera, or you are unable to download the app, you can still join us by calling into the group. You’ll be able to hear everything over your phone and speak to other participants and the facilitators. We will send you a text before the workshop with a list of local 012, 016 or 020 phone numbers that you can call in order to be connected. We will also send you the meeting ID to enter when promted.
Calls will be charged at your network’s rates. Please be sure to contact your provider if you are unsure of the costs that will be incurred to participate.
