Holiday Newsletter

Thank you to everyone who helped make 2018 a great year for Outside Edge Theatre Company! Close to 200 participants in recovery engaged in OETC’s workshops this year and our work was seen by hundreds of audience members.

In April our Company members performed Unfinished Business at Aesop Arts, and in July they performed devised work Six Lines at our home in Parsons Green. In September, our Write Now group presented their promenade performance Stockwell Rising in Wyck Gardens, Brixton. Our Edge Two workshop group performed at November’s Open House and Brainstorming Session along with dozens of other performances from OETC’s past and present participants in recovery.

Audience members gathered in Wyck Gardens, Brixton this past September to see the work of Write Now participants performed by OETC actors.

In June we also welcomed our new Artistic Director and CEO, Matt Steinberg, to the OETC family. In November, longtime OETC member Sonya Hale joined Christopher Holt as an Associate Theatre Facilitator. This autumn we also welcomed two new trustees, Pippa Campbell and Anu Maakan.

In September, OETC staff and participants were given the opportunity to see our patron Sir Mark Rylance perform in Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe.

In addition to our new staff members, OETC is hiring! We’re looking for a detailed and project-minded Administration and Projects Coordinator.

If you or someone you know is interested, check out our Job Description here. Application deadline is January 11 with interviews beginning January 14.
