Write Now meets every Thursday from 3-5pm at 61 Munster Road, SW6 5RE.
This workshop is for people at all stages of recovery who have been affected by addiction and are returning to recovery after relapse, or those who want regular creative writing opportunities as part of their on-going recovery maintenance.
Write Now is led by Sonya Hale, award-winning playwright. Read Sonya’s interview with The Evening Standard here.
This workshop is a safe space to share stories and build confidence; to support each other; and to challenge the social stigma that people in recovery often feel. We ask that participants are abstinent on the day of the workshop; however, those on low-level scripts are welcome.
Write Now aims to:
1. Develop a personal voice through the written word
2. Create a safe support network
3. Foster personal confidence
If you’ve never been involved with OETC before, we encourage you to first join Drop-In Drama and discuss joining Write Now with one of our facilitators. We are happy for you to be attending both Drop-in Drama and Write Now weekly!
