June Newsletter
Last month was exciting for Outside Edge! We announced our new Chair of the Board of Trustees and started work on a brilliant nation-wide partnership project to celebrate Overdose Awareness Day.

We also moved to two exciting new venues for our West London Write Now group (now hosted by Chelsea Theatre) and our South London Drop-in Drama (now at Southwark Playhouse).

This month we have more exciting announcements (did somebody say new group!?) and we will welcome a new staff member to the Outside Edge team!

We’re running on zoom and in person!
Just a reminder to everyone that we are still running a blended delivery for any groups that have returned to in-person facilitation. This means that you can access the group either in-person or online via Zoom. The choice is yours! Though as the world starts to open up again we encourage you to come and join us in person if you’re able to. For now, we will only be offering in person delivery for the groups listed below:

Edge Two (Mondays)
East London Drop-in Drama (Tuesdays)
West London Write Now (Wednesdays)
West London Drop-in Drama (Wednesdays)
Women’s Drama Group (Thursdays)
South London Drop-In Drama (Friday)

In line with social distancing guidelines we will need to limit the number of people who can be in the workshop space. You will need to book your space in advance of attending. Bookings will close 4 hour before the workshop’s start time.

As with all of our activities it is free to attend, but if you have not booked, you will not be able to enter the workshop space. Existing OETC members will have been sent a link to book a space for any of our blended sessions via email or text. If you are new to OETC, register your interest here and Molly will be in touch.

East London Write Now – Coming Soon!
Outside Edge are thrilled to announce that we have a new Write Now group starting in… East London!

That’s right, we’re expanding to make sure we can provide workshops across London so that we can engage with more people in recovery. If traveling across the city has been one of the reasons you haven’t made it to our Write Now workshop, then this East London group is for you!

This script writing group will run on Tuesday afternoons (3:30pm – 5:30pm) starting in July at Brady Arts Centre. No previous writing experience is required in order to attend. All we ask is that participants are abstinent on the day of the activity. Sessions will take place at the same venue for our East London Drop-in Drama group later that evening (6.30pm – 8.30pm), so everyone is encouraged to get a double dose of Outside Edge on Tuesdays!

We can’t wait to get writing with you…

Drama & Creative Writing Taster Sessions are back!
In honour of our new Write Now group coming to East London in July, we’ve brought back our Drama & Creative Writing Taster Sessions!

For East London organisations who have service users that might benefit from this group, why not book one of our FREE Five Ways To Wellbeing Drama & Creative Writing Taster Sessions to introduce your cohort to Outside Edge? Participants will then be able to attend our free weekly workshops to support them to build their Recovery Capital.

If you are interested in booking an online taster session for your service, please get in touch with Tess via the email: admin@edgetc.org
