July Newsletter
Although lockdown has brought its challenges, it’s also brought opportunity to Outside Edge. We launched the Women’s Drama Group, watched 13 online theatre productions followed by Q&As with members of the cast and creative team and we created more chances for participants to connect with each other at their weekly Peer-led Check-in.

Along with the rest of the world we are now looking forward  to the next stage of  our journey, which will be informed by our experiences during  lockdown and led by the changing needs and innovative ideas of our participants. See what we have been up to over the past month and what we are looking forward to for the rest of the summer.

Reflect. Reset. Recover.
As the government’s Covid-19 guidelines begin  to shift, we want to hear from participants about what they would like from us as we begin to adapt our service delivery to ensure that we continue to offer a safe, supportive and high quality service for everybody. We don’t have a date yet for when we can return to in-person work, but we want to take this time to hear what you need!

Reflect

What have we learnt  from the last three months of digital engagement?  Have there been any hidden gems that you want to hold on to or anything that you’d like to leave behind?

Reset

With the service user voice at the heart of any changes, we want to  look towards how we can work together as a community to design a safe service that is in-line with government guidelines and still creatively stimulating! We want to hear your ideas for different ways we can come together and rebuild connections with each other.

Recover

Recovery is what Outside Edge does best. We want to return with versions of our in-person groups as soon as possible, but with the resilience to respond to any changes in government guidelines and the evolving needs of our community.

Join us on Zoom (Meeting ID 823 9501 0066 & Password: 007101) or dial in +44 203 481 5240 on Thursday 9th July (4pm-6pm) to share your thoughts and reflections about our online groups and how you want us to support the return to in-person groups.

We will also send a link to an online survey or you can email us at admin@edgetc.org with you ideas.

Join the FREE online Choir with No Name singing sessions at 2.30pm every Tuesday!

Their singing sessions are all about fun – it doesn’t matter if you are a great singer or if you think you can’t sing a note, it’s about having a laugh and enjoying singing whatever you sound like!

Who are these sessions for?
These sessions are for people affected by homelessness, or at risk groups (service users and staff welcome). If you aren’t included in that group but still want to sing with us, you can! Click here for more info.

What happens in a singing session?
Each week one of our choir leaders will teach a well-known pop song for everyone to sing along to.  For most of the session everyone but the choir leader will be muted so you can enjoy singing along at the top of your voice without being nervous about what you sound like!

For more information, including how to join follow the link below!
